We plan the infrastructure frontier regions need.
Urban Core Industries delivers integrated resource-site planning for mining, energy, and logistics operators in South America and Africa. Desk studies to concept plans, priced from USD 2,500.
Three stages, one integrated process
We engage at whichever stage your project needs. Each stage is scoped, priced, and delivered before the next begins.
Site Screening
We run a 2 to 3 week desk study covering power options, logistics route, permitting path, and service needs for your site.
Priced from USD 2,500. Delivered as a written brief you can take to the next conversation.
Concept Plan
We prepare a concept-level master plan for microgrid, corridor, and camp or town layout, with phased cost ranges. A licensed local engineering partner is named before the work begins.
Priced from USD 15,000. Structured for investor review and permitting conversations.
Pre-Development Support
Monthly support while your project moves from concept to commitment. We track permitting, find partners, and prepare investor materials on your timeline.
Priced from USD 5,000 per month. Scoped to one project at a time.
Our services
Integrated resource-site planning
Five discrete engagements, from a two-week desk study to monthly pre-development support. Priced by scope, quoted before work begins.

Integrated Site Concept Plan
A concept-level master plan for one site with microgrid, corridor, and camp or town layout, plus phased cost ranges.
Corridor and Customs Readiness Review
A review of road, rail, port, customs, and tracking gaps along one commodity route, for an operator or a 3PL.
Territorial Framework Workshop
A two-day briefing for a development authority or development-finance institution.
Pre-Development Retainer
Monthly support for one project before the large contract: partner-finding, permitting tracking, and investor materials.
Sectors we plan across
Four disciplines, one integrated plan
Frontier sites need mining, energy, construction, and logistics answered together, at concept stage. We coordinate across all four so the plan is coherent before the first contractor is engaged.
Site screening and integrated concept planning
We map power options, logistics routes, and permitting paths for mine sites at concept stage. We work with a licensed local engineering partner, named before the work starts. We do not act as engineer of record.
Microgrid and off-grid power planning
We size microgrid options against site load profiles and identify grid-connection constraints at concept level. Our work feeds directly into investor and permitting packages. We do not design or commission power systems.
Camp and town layout at concept scale
We develop phased camp and workforce-town layouts as part of the integrated site concept plan. Cost ranges are concept-level and clearly labelled as estimates. We coordinate with civil and structural teams but do not lead those scopes.
Corridor and customs readiness review
We review road, rail, port, customs, and tracking gaps along a commodity route and identify the points that will delay a project. The output is a structured gap list for operators and 3PLs. We do not manage freight or act as a logistics agent.
All four scopes addressed in a single integrated plan
Market scale
Where the capital is moving
Three regions where the demand for integrated resource-site planning is most acute and where UCI's work has the most direct operational impact.
South America
Mining
remote site planning
Large-scale mineral extraction across Chile, Peru, and Brazil creates persistent demand for integrated site planning, power, and logistics coordination at remote locations.
South America
Construction
infrastructure build-out
Infrastructure investment across the continent is expanding road, port, and urban corridors, opening new logistics routes that operators need assessed before committing capital.
Africa
Clean energy
frontier energy
Growing clean-energy commitments across sub-Saharan Africa are creating microgrid and off-grid power opportunities that require early-stage site and corridor planning to reach project sanction.
South America and Africa are our current planning focus regions.
Common questions
Scope, credentials, and how we engage
Plain answers to the questions operators ask before they commit to a study.
We work at concept and pre-feasibility stage, before the licensed engineer of record is appointed. Our desk studies and concept plans give operators and investors the information they need to decide whether a site is worth committing to full study costs. We do not carry work past concept level.
Urban Core Industries is a planning and advisory firm. We are not a licensed engineering firm. Where our scope requires a licensed local engineer — such as the Integrated Site Concept Plan — we name a licensed local engineering partner before work begins, and that partner signs what they are qualified to sign.
No. We do not own, build, finance, or operate mines, grids, roads, ports, or camps. Our scope is planning and advisory only. We produce studies and concept plans that help operators and investors make informed decisions. Execution, ownership, and operations are entirely outside our scope.
Our current focus is frontier and resource regions in South America and Africa, where infrastructure gaps are common and integrated resource-site planning adds the most value. We take enquiries from outside these regions on a case-by-case basis.
All prices shown are our estimates and starting points. Each engagement is quoted individually based on site complexity, route length, border count, and the scope we agree with you. Site Screening Brief: $2500.00. Territorial Framework Workshop: $4000.00. Corridor and Customs Readiness Review: $5000.00. Pre-Development Retainer: $5000.00 per month. Integrated Site Concept Plan: $15000.00. We publish these ranges so you can qualify fit before we talk.
Send us a brief description of your site or corridor, your country, and the stage you are at. Use the inquiry form on this page or email us directly. We will respond within two business days with an initial scope outline or a request for more information before we commit to a quote.
